Sarah and Glen's Flaxton Gardens Wedding

The 24th March 2012 turned on a gorgeous sunny and dry day at Flaxton Gardens for Sarah and Glen's lunch time wedding.

After the massive down poor of rain the Sunshine Coast had on the Thursday before it was it incredible that they had such an amazing day for their celebration.

The cutting cake is a white chocolate mud cake with white chocolate ganache covered with lilac sugar paste and finished with hand made ivory sugar roses.

The cupcakes are white chocolate mud cakes with embossed ivory icing and rolled lilac roses and chocolate mud cakes with embossed lilac icing with ivory bows.

Flaxton Gardens is a stunning venue on what seems to be the top of the world.
The room was decorated just stunning.

Princess Isabella First Birthday

Isabella's 1st birthday cake is fit for a princess. Isabella's mother, Amy sent me a few pictures of ideas she liked and this is how it turned out. I think the outcome is just gorgeous.

The cake itself is chocolate mud cake covered in chocolate ganache and then covered with white sugar paste icing. The bottom tier has been finished using a quilting pattern and studded with tiny pink balls of sugar paste.

The gorgeous bouncy bow is made from sugar paste icing and entirely edible as is the Princess Tiara below.
The Tiara is lined with edible pearls and has been finished with a lustre spray to give it a glamorous shimmer.

On the day of Isabella's party I received a message from Amy that said " Hello Skye, I would really like to thank your for the most beautiful cake for my princess's first birthday. Everyone who attended couldn't believe how wonderful the cake was. It made Bella's birthday extra special. I will definitely be passing your business on to all my friends. A big thank you again . Amy "

The message made my day :)

What little boy doesn't like Lightning McQueen or the fabulous Cars movies

This chocolate mud cake was for Max who turned 4.

All the decorations are hand made from sugar paste and completely edible.

Cousin's Sofia and Oscar shared their christening day today 3rd March 2012.
Sofia's mum requested a simple white cake for the occasion. I suggested the pink and blue teddy bears.
The cake turned out simply beautiful.

Inside is chocolate mud cake covered with chocolate ganache.
